Is Edinburgh Safe?
Edinburgh is a very safe place. Well, as safe as it probably is in your home town. There are not people around all the time trying to rip you off, or pickpocket you. People are friendly and ready to help.
At night
Even at night Edinburgh is safe. Probably the biggest problem might be a drunk Scot trying to pick a fight. Its safe to walk home from a club at night, but always be careful, no matter where you are in the world, there are crazy people around.
Services
If you don't want to walk home, grab a cab. It shouldn't cost more than £3, depending where you are, and they are 100% trustworthy. The police service in Edinburgh is absolutely brilliant, fair and friendly, should you ever run into trouble.
