Things to know about Scotland
Is the water safe to drink?
Yes, the water is safe to drink, though you should only drink it out of the kitchen taps.
Electricity
The electricity supply is 240v. The plug and voltage is not compatable with North American appliances, you will need a voltage adaptor. Other countries will need an adaptor for the pins only.
Currency
Scotland uses the same money as England, but also prints it's own money. Actually 4 banks may print money. Anything with the words 'sterling' is valid in Scotland and the rest of the UK. Try not to get large (£50 or £100) notes as many establishments, including us, prefer not to take them.
